Substack will not settle the chain for you

Readers already pay Substack in card details. A crypto jar is for the people who ask. It does not need an integration, and any “Substack wallet connect” in your inbox is almost certainly a phish.

About page first

The about page is the one URL most readers who want to tip will accept. Generate the QR with the tip jar generator, upload it, and write one sentence that names the asset and the chain. A bio-style link in the header can point at the same page.

Welcome post

A welcome post reaches people who will never open About. Keep the same QR file. If you rotate addresses, edit both places the same day. Do not paste a new address into a comment thread and leave the old QR in the header.

Do not connect a wallet

Substack does not need your seed, your extension, or a signature to display a picture. Anyone offering a “verified tip badge” that starts with Connect is running the usual scam. Paid subscriptions, Stripe, and Substack's own payouts are a different product. Keep them separate from the jar.

One label

One network. The heading is the safety rail. If you also write on your own domain, the same jar can live in the site footer so you are not maintaining three addresses.
