USDC is one token with many doors. A tip sent on Solana will not appear in a Polygon-only view of the same name, even if the letters look identical. Choose the wallet for the network you are going to print on the tip jar, not the one with the nicest icon.

The network is the decision

If you are collecting Meta creator payouts, Stripe has been settling USDC on Polygon and Solana. If you are collecting audience tips, you pick the network yourself and then you have to label it. Fees are the network. The token name is the easy part.

An EVM address (the 0x… string) is reused across Ethereum, Polygon, Base, and several others. That is convenient and dangerous. A supporter can send USDC to the right-looking address on the wrong chain. The funds sit on a network your wallet is not watching until you add that network or recover them, if you can.

A practical shortlist

If tips arrive on	A wallet that actually shows that USDC
Solana	Phantom, or another Solana wallet that lists USDC. Solana addresses do not start with `0x`.
Polygon or Base	MetaMask, Rainbow, or Coinbase Wallet, with that network added and USDC visible.
